when I look back at the past I see my reflection in the glass I didn’t know what I would be I just wanted to be free with your help I conquered my fear now your gone I can shed a tear you gave me the strength to carry on you helped me write my own song what we built couldn’t last I want to forget the broken past I wouldnt be here if it wasnt for you I know you feel the same way too so to my friends lost along the way I have one simple thing to say I hope we can be together again despite all of the blame these broken pictures tell a thousand tales some of suddenness some of joy even though your gone im glad we met what you did for me I cant forget you gave me strength when I had none built me up and made me strong so I could finally stand on my own and all I can say now is thank you I remember working side by side nothing between us could divide the friendship we had was so strong even though it didn’t last long with out you I couldn’t move on id never see this golden dawn stuck in darkness no way out not knowing what it was about you opened my eyes and set me free if only you could see what I see I couldn’t stay though it broke my heart seeing it was the end and we’d be apart we didn’t see that ship has taken sail and the dark woods has grown pale perhaps we made a big mistake but I know that its too late these broken pictures tell a thousand tales some of saddeness some of joy even though your gone im glad we met what you did for me I cant forget you gave me strength when I had none built me up and made me stronger so I could finally stand on my own and all I can say now is thank you
