Tiny paws trot down that southern road, That little dog Delilah in her comfort zone. She barks and scares the squirrels in the trees, With a fierce little growl, she's a rotten beast She struts like a queen, all four pounds tall, Barking up storms at birds that call. Tail up high, she's got no fear, Until a dog her size or bigger draws near. She's that tiny dog in a big bad world Scared of all the bigger critters in the world. She’s tough on them critters when she’s got the height, But she's afraid of big dogs and she likes little bites. She’s a big scary dog, or so she claims, Little Delilah, are them eggs to blame? She picks on the frogs, 'cause they’re smaller than her, Chasing them down with a scrappy blur. Thinks she’s the boss, got the heart of a lion, Until that neighbor's big dog sends her runnin’ and cryin’. Now she's pulling on the rope Now she's choking herself again Oh brother, here we go again It's in my eyes, so here we go again She's that tiny dog in a big bad world Scared of all the bigger critters in the world.
