Of course I did! When I arrived in Israel, there weren’t many distractions on the kibbutz…
So after working in the fields, what did we do? Dance!
We’d gather in a circle, sing, and dance until our shoes fell off.

Because it wasn’t just for fun.
Dancing the rikud, Israeli folk dance… was a way of saying:
“This is our home. This is our story. And no one’s taking it from us.”
The dance connected us to our roots, to our people, to the land.

Absolutely! As long as there’s someone willing to dance with pride,
Israeli folk dance will be more alive than ever!


Yes! Young people, kids, adults — everyone!
If you want to keep our identity alive… then get up and dance!
